2. Information Collection and Handling
To maintain a secure logistics directory, we collect operational data during signup, including:
- Corporate Contact Details: Company names, operational hotline numbers, corporate emails, country of origin, and names of representatives.
- Shipment Details: Origin/destination ports, cargo dimensions, weight, incoterms, and target shipping rates. This information is shared with verified forwarders for rate submission.
- Vetting Credentials: License numbers, customs broker documents, or membership codes (e.g., WCA membership ID) submitted by forwarders during verification.
3. Data Sharing in the Marketplace
Our platform works by facilitating quotations between shippers and logistics providers:
- Shippers: Your shipment details (excluding personal contact handles) are published to the verified Freight Forwarders' directory.
- Forwarders: Your bid amounts, transit times, and compliance badges are displayed to the shipper who posted the inquiry.
- Direct Contact Access: Shippers and Forwarders only receive access to each other's full corporate phone numbers and emails after a quotation has been selected or awarded.
4. Data Security and Access Rules
We employ strict security measures to protect database records:
- All account interactions, queries, and bids are protected by secure Firebase Authentication.
- We restrict API queries to ensure that restricted accounts cannot read or write to the live databases.
- All uploaded documentation (such as customs permits and invoices) is stored in secure, permission-guarded storage buckets.
